Ground-Floor Convenience
One of Daylight’s best features is how effortlessly the condo connects to the resort. Unload your car right outside the door, walk straight through the condo, and step from the patio onto a beautiful lawn. The Islander does not allow pets, so you can walk on the lawn worry-free.

Daylight is one of the few ground-floor condos that does not sit directly in front of the pool–giving the patio a little more privacy while keeping the pool, hot tub, and beach exceptionally close.

The Islander’s private beach gate is straight ahead, and Daylight is the closest condo to that gate.

You can return from the beach for lunch, forgotten sunscreen, or a child’s nap without turning it into an expedition.

Electric Vehicle Charging
The Islander Resort has a spot to plug in your vehicle while you are staying at the resort.

Living and Dining Rooms
The living room has a couch, a lounger and a cozy chair with sliding glass doors overlooking the lawn.

Blackout curtains make afternoon naps and movie nights easy.

Enjoy a movie on the 85-inch Smart TV with cable or stream from your own accounts. Connect your phone to the Bluetooth soundbar for playing music.

The dining table seats six with four chairs and a bench, while two counter stools provide extra casual seating.

Fully Stocked Kitchen
Daylight’s kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and dining in. You’ll find cookware, dishes, children’s dishes and silverware, an air fryer, blender, and all the essentials for preparing meals.

The kitchen comes stocked with basic spices, cooking sprays and oils, plus foil, plastic wrap, and parchment paper.

Coffee lovers have a Keurig or a traditional drip coffee maker and a large assortment of mugs so you can find the perfect fit. Insulated tumblers are also provided, making it easy to take your coffee onto the lawn, to the hot tub, or along for a morning beach walk.
Primary Bedroom and Ensuite Bathroom
The primary bedroom has a king-size bed with an ultra-comfortable mattress, memory-foam topper, 100% cotton percale Nautica sheets, and plenty of pillows.

There is a view of the east lawn, palm trees and beach gate from the window.

A 75-inch Smart TV includes cable or the option to use your own streaming accounts. The TV also has optional colorful backlights you can turn on.

The ensuite bathroom includes a tub and shower with a dual handheld and rain showerhead, a bidet, a double-sink vanity, generous storage, a magnified mirror, steamer and a hair dryer.

Daylight is also one of the few units at the Islander Resort with an in-unit washer and dryer.

Adult and child-size towel robes for trips between the pool and hot tub
Second Bedroom and Bathroom
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a set of house-style twin bunk beds, all with comfortable mattresses and memory-foam toppers. The upper bunk has cutout windows for a little natural privacy, while the lower bunk has curtains on a sliding track.

Both bunk beds are lined with star shaped lights and individual switch controls. There is also a star projector/white noise machine with a sleep timer to add a fun touch. A 40-inch Smart TV is ready for guests to use with their own streaming accounts.

Please note that Daylight is best suited for no more than four adults; the bunk beds are intended for children and teens.

The nearby second bathroom includes a tub and shower with a dual handheld and rain showerhead, a bidet, vanity storage, and a hair dryer.

Thoughtful Extras
Beach chairs, umbrella, beach wagon, cooler, and children’s nets and sand toys are provided. The condo will be stocked especially for you depending on the children’s ages.

Colorful beach-themed pickleball paddles and balls are provided, along with a football and basketball.

Family games and jigsaw puzzles are available for rainy days and quiet nights in.

Pack-and-play and high chair available upon request
The Islander Resort Experience

Daylight is located at the Islander Resort, a private, gated beachfront resort on Holiday Isle. The Islander has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of amenities that make it easy to enjoy an entire vacation without constantly getting back in the car.

Its private beach sits on a beautiful stretch of the Gulf, close to the East Pass and the jetties where guests can watch fishing boats head out in the morning and return in the afternoon.

The resort has two pools and two hot tubs, including an east pool that is heated year-round. Daylight is just steps from the east pool.

Guests can play pickleball, tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard; equipment is available through the front desk, and Daylight also keeps pickleball equipment inside the condo.

A covered grilling pavilion provides charcoal grills and outdoor dining space, and a small fitness room is available on site.

During select spring-break and summer weeks, the Islander schedules family-friendly activities that may include sandcastle-building lessons, painting activities, live music, and movie nights by the pool. Programming varies, but there is often something happening for guests who want to join in.

The friendly front-desk team is available daily for resort needs, parking passes, wristbands, and local information. Wristbands provide access to resort amenities and are also used for entry to the condo.

Holiday Isle: A Quieter Side of Destin
Holiday Isle is a peaceful peninsula between the Gulf and Destin Harbor, known for its residential feel and walkability. From the Islander, guests can walk approximately 0.7 miles to Norriego Point and its calm coves and harbor views, or about 0.5 miles to O’Steen Beach and the jetties snorkeling area.

A wide path runs along Gulf Shore Drive and is popular for morning walks and bike rides. Bike and golf-cart rentals are available nearby for guests who want to explore Holiday Isle at an easy vacation pace.
What Guests Say

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer early check-in?
You may enter the condo as soon as it is completely cleaned and ready, and I will notify you when it is available. I cannot guarantee access to the condo before the official 4:00 p.m. check-in time because it depends on the previous departure and cleaning schedule, but let me know if you are trying to arrive early and I will do my best!
Can we park and use the resort while waiting for the condo?
Yes. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. on your arrival day, you are welcome to park and enjoy the resort’s outdoor amenities while the condo is being prepared. You can even use the ground floor patio and access the beach chairs and sand toys. You just cannot enter the condo until I confirm it’s ready.
Can we have groceries delivered before we arrive?
Yes. You are welcome to schedule a grocery-delivery order to arrive at Daylight between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on your arrival day, and we will put the groceries away for you. We recommend Walmart delivery because you can select a delivery window, the prices are the same as inside the store, and you can also order almost anything else Walmart carries, such as sunscreen and beach supplies. Please let me know in advance if you schedule a Walmart delivery so I can have the housekeepers ready for it.
What is the Islander resort fee?
The Islander currently charges a $19.50 daily resort fee per reservation, not per guest. This fee is separate from the rental total and is paid directly to the front desk upon arrival. At check-in, guests receive a parking pass and wristbands for everyone in the group. Resort fees are established by the Islander and may be subject to change.
What beach equipment is provided?
The condo has 6 beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, a beach wagon, and sand toys for children. There are also masks, nets, and various other items that change. I also provide a soft cooler bag and can give you a hard cooler upon request. Because the private beach gate is so close to the patio, returning to the condo for anything you forgot is quick and easy.
How many adults can Daylight accommodate?
The condo sleeps up to six people in one king bed, one queen bed, and built-in twin bunk beds. It is best suited for no more than four adults because the bunk beds are designed for children and teens rather than adults.
What happens after I submit a booking request?
A booking request is an inquiry rather than an automatic reservation. Sarah will confirm that the dates are still available, provide the complete price including required taxes, and explain the payment and reservation steps. Your stay is not confirmed until those steps are completed.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel 30 or more days before arrival for a full refund minus a $75 admin fee.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are accommodated whenever possible but can’t be guaranteed.
Is there a minimum night stay?
No — there is no minimum stay as long as the full cleaning fee is paid for each stay.
Do you allow pets?
No, the Islander resort has a strict no pets policy for both owners and guests. The upside is you can walk and play on the grass confidently. Ask me about pet sitting if you’d like. I am a great dog (or cat) sitter and I live nearby!
How do I pay?
After you submit a booking request, Sarah will confirm your total and send payment instructions. We accept Zelle, Venmo, and electronic check (bank transfer). Credit cards are also accepted with a 3% processing fee added.
Can I book Daylight through Airbnb instead?
Absolutely. Guests who prefer to make their reservation through Airbnb are welcome to do so. Airbnb prices are approximately 16% higher than the direct-booking rates shown here to account for platform service fees.
