We all know Destin can be an expensive place to vacation. But if you have some extra cash or want to splurge for a special occasion, here’s a Destin bucket list for you:
1. Private Dinner on the Beach
Beach Walk Cafe in Destin offers a romantic dinner called Toes in the Sand dinner where they set your table up steps from the water’s edge. Dining on the sand as the sun sets is an experience that you probably won’t soon forget. Reservations must be made days to weeks in advance by calling 850-650-7100
2. Private Sailing Charter
There are many options for getting out on a boat in Destin but nothing beats a private charter. Having an intimate sailing adventure with your party rather than being crammed on a boat with strangers makes this a unique and special experience.
3. Bonfire on the Beach
What could be better than a bonfire on the beach with your family and friends? A Beach Bonfire is a fun and memorable experience in Destin for anything from family vacations and reunions to birthday parties and corporate events. A company doing this for you includes chairs, set-up and clean-up, a table, and usually even s’mores supplies. Several add-ons are also available (extra time, extra chairs, coolers, tiki torches, etc..).
Fires are illegal in Okaloosa County so this activity must be done in Walton County which includes the Miramar Beach and 30A areas (from the Pompano Joes public beach access and east of there).

4. Dinner Cruise
The Solaris is a 125-foot luxury Yacht located at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort marina. Sunquest Cruises offers sunset and fireworks cruises aboard the Yacht which has 3 decks, a full bar, live music, dancing and a 3-course fine dining chef prepared meal that you order ahead of time from the mouth-watering menu. 5. Fly over the Beach in a Seaplane or Helicopter
Fly the Beach offers seaplane tours that are a great way to experience Destin from the sky! Below is a video of this experience. At 2:10 they fly over a big pod of dolphins near the Destin Jetties. So cool! Call 850-290-2261 to book.
These experiences are all on my Destin bucket list. So far I have done the beach bonfire and a private sailing tour.
